Turbo Upgrades

Bigger is not better — matched is better. A turbo that's too large will spool late and make the car worse to drive everywhere you actually use it. We size to your torque target, your fuel system, and what the transmission will survive.

Book this service

Typically 6–10 hours

What's included

Step up to a larger frame or billet wheel. We size the turbo to your target power, fuel system, and transmission.

  • Assessment of the current setup: turbo condition, fuelling headroom, and drivetrain limits
  • Compressor map matching against your target boost and airflow
  • Manifold and downpipe adaptation, fabricated in-house where an adapter won't do
  • Boost control revision for the new frame size
  • Recalibration with datalog verification across the whole rev range

When people book this

  • You've reached the limit of the current turbo and it's out of efficiency
  • The car makes peak power but falls over at the top
  • Spool is fine but you want more area under the curve, not just a bigger number

Questions we get asked

The things people want to know before booking turbo upgrades.

Will a bigger turbo make the car laggy?

It can, and that's the trade we discuss before ordering anything. Modern billet wheels and twin-scroll housings have narrowed the gap considerably, but physics still applies. We'd rather size slightly conservatively and give you a car that's quick everywhere than chase a dyno number you'll use twice.

Can I reuse my existing manifold and downpipe?

Sometimes, depending on the flange and frame size. If not, we fabricate. We'll tell you which at the inspection rather than discovering it with the car in pieces.
